OUR CHURCH
Welcome to St Mary Magdalene Sunderland. The Church is of the Anglo Catholic tradition in the Diocese of Durham and under the Episcopal care of the Bishop of Beverly. The Safeguarding Policy of the parishes on this website are available on their relevant pages. (See our safeguarding notice at the bottom of this page.)

In the Church there is a Cell of the Society of Our Lady of Walsingham. A Mass is said on the seventh day of every month for the work of the Shrine.

By Car exit the A19 onto the A183 towards Sunderland, go through 4 roundabouts and take a left onto the B1405, go past Sunderland Royal Hospital and turn right onto Hylton Road, take a left at the mini roundabout onto Wilson Street and the church is opposite the RAOB Club.
By Rail you can take the Metro from Newcastle Central or Sunderland Central to Millfield Station, the church is a 10-15 minute walk from there.
By Bus get on the number 10 or 20 from Sunderland Interchange and get off at the Willow Pond Public House, the church is a 5-10 minute walk from there.
